This year, IMPULSE has experienced continued growth. Submissions to the journal have been steadily increasing; something we hope is an ongoing trend. In addition, we’ve added two new Reviewer Training Sites this year: Roanoke College and Wake Forest University. It has been exciting to be a part of it all. This May I will graduating and turning over the Editor-in-Chief position to Dana Cobb. It has been a wonderful experience that I feel I have learned a lot from. I am most proud of IMPULSE for its unparalleled pedagogical functions. The opportunity to peer review and publish original research at the undergraduate level is an amazing opportunity and something that cannot be undervalued.

Dana Cobb

I am excited to announce that I am training for the role of Editor-in-Chief and I look forward to taking on this new position within the IMPULSE Editorial Team. As we move into the eleventh year of IMPULSE, I hope to continue to facilitate the growth and momentum of the journal as my predecessors have done.

In the coming year, we will attend meetings including Synapse at the University of North Carolina at Asheville and the Society for Neuroscience Conference in Washington, D.C. Our Managing Editor, Alison Rossi, will be attending the FENS Conference in Milan this coming summer as well. These present wonderful opportunities to publicize the journal, as well as to gain invaluable presenting experience and professional connections.
